Migrants Social Integration Forum (FISI)

The Forum for the Social Integration of Immigrants is the organ of consultation, information and advice on the integration of immigrants. The objective of the Forum is to promote the participation and integration of immigrants in Spanish society, proposing, informing and channeling actions aimed at these ends.

Methodology

Formulate proposals and recommendations to promote the integration of immigrants and refugees into Spanish society.
Receive information on programs and activities carried out by the General State Administration, the Administrations of the Autonomous Communities and the Local Authorities on the social integration of immigrants.
To collect and channel the proposals of social organizations active in the field of immigration, with a view to facilitating the perfect coexistence between immigrants and the host society.
Prepare an annual report on the work and activities carried out.
Prepare an annual report on the situation of the social integration of immigrants and refugees.
Prepare reports on proposals, plans and programs that may affect the social integration of immigrants, on their own initiative or when required by the competent bodies of the General State Administration.
Promote or develop studies and initiatives on issues related to the social integration of immigrants and refugees.
Cooperate with other similar bodies of international, regional or local scope with a view to coordinating and improving all those actions that benefit the social integration of immigrants and refugees.
To issue a mandatory report on the projects of the General State Administration that affect the social integration of immigrants, as well as on the plans and programs of state scope related to this subject, prior to its approval.
