Stronger within, stronger to the outside world
Objectives of the project:

- Acquiring skills in order to cope with prejudice and discrimination
- Focus on building or expanding a social network and encourage each other and support private networking.
- Understanding inner qualities and how they could be transfered to approach companies for an internship / work

Methodology
5 meetings are orgnised in cooperation with schools and communitiy centres.
During the training the focus is laid on changing the attitude and behavour of the participants and making them discover and work on their capabilities and talents. A very important issue within Dutch work environment is assertiveness. The participants are taught how to becone more assertive and stand up for themselves. They klearn to show their own limits and respect the limits of the others. They practice how to make new contacts and build a wide network.

Outcomes:
On short terms, participants are able to cope with adversity and have insight in their own responsibility regarding behaviour and coping with situations of discrimination
On the middle-long term they increase their network to create opportunities on the labor market. Increase of employment and internships
On the long-term less discrimination and youth unemployment are achieved.
Impact on target groups / Transferability potential
The main impact is increasing self confidence and motivation to find a (volunteer) job. By widening the network participants have more opportunites for social and labour market inclusion.
The transfer opportunities are mainly in using the methods of the training for training women to become stronger, more confident and financially independent.
